Hello!
Recently I have seen a lot of posts saying that affiliate programs are better than putting ads on your site, now, I wonder, what is an affiliate program? In easy english?

In simple terms, an affiliate program gives you links and banner ads to place on your site. You get paid a commission when someone clicks your link and buys something.
Adsense pays you per click, or per view, and an affiliate program pays you a commission when someone buys something.
