scraping wiki?

Postby Jasmin » Mon Jan 03, 2011 3:57 pm

I was listening to a report shoe money and he said he scraps wiki but credit to them and that is as long as you credit them for it ok.

Can anyone tell about this?
First, how do you scrap (by hand would be very slow)

And is it really okay to use it for your content?

Thanks for any advice

To scrape a page, I am certain you could get software and set it to the stuff you want to find. Here's an article about scraping

Wikipedia is not copyrighted. It is copyleft. You can learn more about that on this page.

I'm not sure where to find the software, but I'm sure there are some on hotscripts.com or something. Would be a way to scrape a lot of good to get information very quickly (in general), but people are more inclined to hang out and what you got when the content is original to read.

Of course, if you just want the $ $, sometimes you do not care.
