Has anyone heard of an automatic sitemap ping utility? Something you ping every time my sitemap sitemap has changed?

Google let's you tell them when you have changed your sitemap (not sure if they pay attention, but okay). I got a script that generates a sitemap daily, and when done it calls this url:
