1. Link should be related to your website theme.
5. Don’t take link on high pr sites, unrelated to your theme.
Those are some helpful tips that you provide as far as link-building is concerned. But, I don't really believe that getting links from unrelated sites is a problem. It's important to get quality links from related sites, but getting links from unrelated site is not going to hurt your site.
