Has anybody ever used Facebook groups to find new friends/business
associates?

Apparently the best way to do this is to find a group in your niche
area and look for the group administrator. Then send out a friend
request to the administrator.

Always leave a brief message when you send out a friend request,
as this will separate you from everyone else. It seems that hardly
anyone takes the time to do this.

It also makes you look like you know what you are doing and not
amateurish.

I think the idea behind the new groups function very well. Small circle of friends by designated the entire list in your Facebook friend. In fact, I may start again, now posted to Facebook, I have created a tiny group of friends.
