I've been a slow twitter convert. I have grown to like it for a few reasons.
It helps keep my up to date with friends in distant locations that I don't see very often.
I follow several leaders in the software development field and I can stay on top of the latest ideas.
Sometimes when I vent my frustrations about a product, one (often many) of the developers will offer ideas and solutions.
My friends can see what I'm up to, and it makes an interesting way for an impromptu beer meet-up

Yes i also use & one of my favorite things about Twitter is it keeps me up to date with all the news that’s important to me. I’m not just talking about world news that you can find on CNN or anywhere else. I mean industry news that often flies under the radar. By following the right people, I always have the latest niche news I can’t find anywhere else.
